These terms apply to everyone who reads modeeval.com. They describe what the site is, how it is put together, what belongs to whom, and the limits of what we promise.
1. What this site is
ModeEval is an editorial publication. It describes Android games listed on Google Play and offers our opinion of them after a period of use. It is not a shop, not a download service and not an app store. Nothing is installed from this site; every link marked as such opens the relevant Google Play listing, where the developer's own terms apply.
Entries are written by people, from notes taken while playing. The written notes, the picks and the section headed “good for” and “keep an eye on” are opinion, honestly held on the date shown. Reasonable readers will disagree with some of them.
2. Ratings and figures
The star figure beside each title is the public Google Play rating as displayed on that listing on 12 August 2026, reproduced together with the number of ratings behind it. These figures belong to Google and change over time; we re-check them at each monthly revision but the store is always the current source. Where our written view differs from the store rating, that is deliberate and is explained in the entry.
3. Advertising disclosure
Some of the links and placements on this site are advertising, including promoted links to Google Play listings. Three commitments follow from that:
- Catalogue places are editorial and are decided by the desk alone. No developer has ever been given an entry, a pick or a position in return for a placement.
- Ratings, picks and written notes are decided before any placement is arranged, and are not altered afterwards.
- Where a link on this site is an advertising placement, it is labelled as advertising at the point where it appears.
Some of the games described also carry advertising inside the app. That is the developer's arrangement with you, not ours, and we describe it in the entry where it changes how the game feels to use.
4. No affiliation
ModeEval is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or otherwise connected to Google LLC, to Google Play, or to any of the developers whose titles appear in the catalogue. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Android is a trademark of Google LLC.
5. Intellectual property
App icons, screenshots, game titles, developer names and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are reproduced here for the purpose of review and identification. All editorial text, the arrangement of the catalogue, the site design and the ModeEval name are ours.
You may quote a short passage with a visible link back to the page it came from. Reproducing whole entries, or the catalogue as a whole, requires our written permission. If you own material shown here and want it removed, write to mail@modeeval.com and we will act promptly.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting or its delivery.
- Do not scrape the catalogue for republication as your own list.
- Do not submit an email address that is not yours to the subscription form.
7. Availability and accuracy
The site is published as it stands and as it is available. Store listings change: a title may be updated, renamed or removed from the store after we have written about it. We revise the catalogue monthly, but between revisions details can fall out of date, and you should treat the Google Play listing as authoritative for availability, permissions and content rating.
To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or without errors, and we are not liable for loss arising from decisions made on the basis of an entry. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot be excluded under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
8. External links
Links to Google Play and other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of personal information.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
